The cold breeze makes me feel quite alive and this time of year holds a million treasures unfolding and overflowing so quickly. I am making sure to take a moment in the busyness of life to watch as the trees change. I don't want to miss a single leaf falling to the ground or crunching under my feet. It has been fairly easy accomplishing this so far since Elspeth's current favorite thing is to lay down in the grass and roll. I'll take it.

I'll never forget when we first moved here and found this treasure of a place. Petting the animals, picking out pumpkins, and exploring the maze... all good things.

"Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
   Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
   With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss’d cottage-trees,
   And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
      To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
   With a sweet kernel; to set budding more."
                                              -John Keats
